Our Process.

“The Art of Chocolate Making: Hand-Crafted Excellence”

At Deepmills Chocolate, our chocolate-making process is a labour of love, a meticulous journey that honours traditional methods while embracing innovation.

Selecting the Finest Ingredients:

Our journey begins with a careful selection of premium ingredients. We source the finest Belgian chocolate, renowned for its superior quality and rich flavour profile, to serve as the foundation of our chocolate bars.

Blending with Precision:

Crafting the perfect chocolate bar starts with blending. Here, we meticulously mix cocoa with a carefully curated selection of ingredients, ensuring each batch meets our exacting standards.

Refining and Conching:

The blended chocolate then undergoes a refining process, where it’s ground to the perfect texture. This is followed by conching, a critical step where the chocolate is gently heated and mixed to develop its flavour and silky smoothness.

Tempering: The Secret to Shine and Snap:

Tempering is an art form, a delicate process of heating and cooling the chocolate to stabilise the cocoa butter. This gives our chocolate bars their distinctive shine and satisfying snap.

Moulding and Setting:

Once tempered, the chocolate is poured into moulds, each designed to create the ideal shape and thickness for our bars. The chocolate is then allowed to set, transforming into solid bars of delight.

Wrapping with Care:

Finally, each bar is hand-wrapped, ensuring that the quality and freshness are preserved. This final touch adds a personal note to our chocolate bars, ready to be enjoyed by chocolate connoisseurs.
